The important bits, in plain English. This page is a starting template — confirm final wording with IrieLine's legal advisor before launch.
IrieLine is an internet-based (VoIP) service and works differently from a traditional phone line. Please make sure you understand the following:
• Calls — including emergency calls — require a working internet (data or Wi-Fi) connection and a powered, charged device. If your internet or power is out, the service will not work.
• Emergency calls may not connect the same way as on a traditional line, and your location may not be automatically shared with responders. Always be ready to state your address.
• Keep your registered address current in the app at all times so it is available for emergency-calling purposes. Update it whenever you move.
• Where possible, keep an alternative means of contacting emergency services (such as a mobile phone on a traditional network) available.
By creating an IrieLine account you agree to these terms. IrieLine is operated by / powered by WOCOM.
You must provide accurate information, including a valid address, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. There is no fixed contract — service is provided on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Your number, porting, line rental, incoming calls and IrieLine-to-IrieLine calls are free. You pay only for outbound calls at the published rates, plus applicable tax. Your prepaid balance does not expire while your account remains active. Bundle minutes roll over while active.
Residential service is intended for normal personal use and supports one call at a time. Commercial or high-volume use requires a business plan. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
We target high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, as it depends on your internet connection, your device and third-party networks. See the Emergency Calling Notice above.
Number porting is subject to verification of ownership and to the timelines and processes of the relevant carriers and regulator. Mobile ports typically complete in about one business day; landline ports may take up to five business days.
We respect your privacy and handle your data responsibly.
Account details (name, contact information, address), the number(s) on your account, payment information processed securely by our payment partners, and call records needed to provide and bill the service.
To activate and operate your service, process payments and top-ups, provide support, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Your registered address may be used to support emergency-calling requirements. Please keep it accurate at all times.
